Been going to Vernons for a number of years (at least 5). Each time it's been a wonderful experience, with exceptional food and service... and FUN! Read some of the other reviews and was afraid they had taken a step backwards after the renovations, but definintely not the case with our dinner. Will most definitely be returning for those special occasions... the only place in town that I'll order a filet because it's better than I can make at home!
Love the new vibe & look. Great live jazz music. A fan of the black diamond walls ;)
Our first and hopefully not our last visit! The first restaurant we've been to in Albuquerque that would rival any you would find anywhere ... Coast to coast. Very pricey for what you would expect locally but from appetizer to entree, excellently prepared. The service was excellent although probably not at the level you might find in high end restaurants but then, not quite as high-brow either.... A secret password required for entry, threats of being frisked for wires and a look at the baseball bat "in case there is any trouble" .... Once past the fun at the door, expect nothing but a great dining experience. We didn't drink but the bar looked fun, some live music and seating ....
MAY BE THE BEST USDA PRIME EVER!!!!
We celebrated our 35th anniversary. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. The scallops melted in your mouth. Wonderful. The steak had good flavor. This was our first visit to this restaurant and we would come again for special occassions.
Outstanding food, attentive service, accommodating to requests, great place for a special event. Quite simply the best meal we've had in Albuquerque since moving there over 3 years ago. Sorry it took so long for us to discover the restaurant.

The food was exceptional. We had both the rib eye and seafood including shrimp and lobster. Portions were large and cooked to perfection. Good job. Our wait staff was great and attentive. We even had baked alaska for dessert. Wine and coctail menus were exceptinal. While we understand the speakeasy motif and the godfather theme was great for me, the walls and interior surroundings were less appealing then the exceptional dining. While you get what you pay for, it was pricey. For a special occasion we would highly recommend it.
Vernon's is always a winner! Best dining in Albuquerque! Vernon's the staff, food, service, and ambiance fantastic!!! Two thumbs up. Vernon's is our spot for special occations. You will not be disappointed!
Great food and great service. They have an excellent (expensive) wine selection. It is a fun and elegant place to visit for that special occasion. They quite often have live piano or jazz music in the bar.
Good food, good wine, and good service in an elegant speak-easy atmosphere that still manages to keep it's tongue firmly planted in its cheek. The place has expanded and remodeled very nicely. We love going to Vernon's any time of year and highly recommend it.

Awesome, I will never go eat steaks any where else now! The Steaks are amazing at Vernon's, lobster tails, probably the best I've ever had. Worth every penny for a fine dinning experience.
Best steak since we moved here from Chicago.
Scotch and cigars outside wasn't too bad either.
It was very quiet in Vernon's and there were not many people i the restaurant. We enjoyed our brunch and the atmosphere. The service was terrific!
A true food find in Albuquerque's North Valley. Could easily compete nationally with the Five Star gang! From the fun "Speak Easy" start to the friendly, enthusiastic staff gracefully wetting you palet with a thorough knowledge of their foods and libations to the artfully presented and precisely prepared offerings. This is a don't miss, make it a regular habit dining experience.
A great place to have an amazing steak and some good wine. It is nice to have a place in ABQ where u can go to eat with adults and no crying children. I love the schtick and the service is always very good. I took my girlfriend here for her past two birthdays and she loves it. I surprised her the first time and she just loved it. Its her restaurant for her bday now.
